O HOLY NIGHT, THE ALBUM
CHRISTMAS is truly the most wonderful time of the year. It is a season of gift-giving, service, love, and especially music. For this album we have selected some of our most beloved Christmas songs centered on the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and His mission. Our hope is that amidst the hustle and bustle of shopping, decorating and wrapping, listening to these timeless melodies and their sacred lyrics will bring greater peace in our lives and remind us of the true meaning of Christmas. We invite you to journey with us to that holy night in Bethlehem and ponder the significance of Jesus’s birth in your own life. May we honor and celebrate Him during this sacred season and always.
Mindy was born in Provo, Utah, to Doug and Marian Smoot. Her parents instilled in her a love of the performing arts at a very early age. They had season tickets to every theater and attended musicals weekly. One of Mindy’s greatest passions in life is singing. She started performing at 4, taking private lessons at 6, working professionally at 16, teaching private voice at 19, and joined the Broadway touring company of Les Misérables by the age of 20. Mindy graduated with a BFA in Music Dance Theatre from BYU. Some of her favorite roles include: Eponine (Les Misérables), Mary Poppins, Maria von Trapp (Sound of Music), Eliza Dolittle (My Fair Lady), Miss Honey (Matilda, regional premiere) and Annie (Annie Get Your Gun). Mindy was a guest artist on the national TV series Touched By An Angel. She has recorded with Mandy Moore and for Disney, and has performed with Colm Wilkinson, Sutton Foster, David Archuleta, and Kevin Olusola. Mindy is married to Conor Robbins and they have 4 children: Abe, Mylee, Anna and Niko. She considers her role as a mother to be the best role she has ever played.
